Rangehoods
How does a recirculating rangehood work?
The filtered air is returned back into the room via vents on the front of the rangehood or a duct kit.
What is the difference between recirculating and ducted rangehoods?
For ducted rangehoods the air is directed to the outside, but recirculating rangehoods return the filtered air back into the room via vents on the front of the rangehood or a duct kit.
Why do you need carbon filters and how often should they be replaced?
For recirculating rangehoods carbon filters remove odours. For frequent oil based cooking, the filters should be changed approximately every 2 months, for cooking that involves mainly boiling or steaming with little oil based cooking, the filters should be changed less frequently.
