Heats up well, a month on and no problems Only grizzle would be the surface shows marks of where ive been using it - where it has heated up, not sure if thats because this is a cheap model of if thats just what happens on ceramic cooktops. Not too noticeable at the moment though For the cost of the appliance Im really happy as to get an all black one in a more well known brand was about triple the price when I looked
